As you can see, we’ve got plenty of activities planned for Seattle. The Auxiliary schedule has several activities making a comeback by popular demand. We will be having another Spa Party, featuring massages for all. We will also have a business forum for those members who are part of their spouses’ piano business. In this informal forum we share ideas, tips and tricks, and lots of stories.
As always, we will be hosting our Scholarship Recital, highlighting our junior and senior award winners from Washington state. We will also conduct our council meeting to make decisions important for our organization. Then we will be doing our fun gift exchange game – we invite you to bring something from your state or region for the game.
Although the Convention site is outside of Seattle itself, the Auxiliary schedule will include a tour into the city. We will be taking a tour on an amphibious duck to get a flavor of the city – on ground and on the water all in one unique vehicle! And what tour of Seattle would be complete without a stop at Pike’s Market, famed for fish-throwing merchants as well as the original Starbucks®. Finally, does it even need to be said that we’ll be taking a trip up in the iconic Space Needle? Depending on time, we may also have some surprises as well.
All this in addition to the concerts, dinners, and other activities the Guild includes in its schedule of activities. If you’re not already a member of the Auxiliary, you can still become a member by sending $20 to the PTG Home Office or signup online at ptg.org.
You will get a discounted rate on our Convention activities if you join now. And be sure to sign up for the Auxiliary tours in Seattle this July 11-15!
